Jenna, Veterinary Assistant

I grew up in a small town here in the beautiful PNW. I have enjoyed caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, when I wasn’t spending time with my horses, I wasrescuing animals of all kinds(a.k.a. bringing home every stray animal I saw).

My passion for animals only grew. I found my love for them could translate into a career when I became a certified dog groomer. I enjoyed grooming for many years but became more interested in the medical aspect and well being of animals. When dogs and cats would come into the grooming salon with ailments, I wanted to better understand how to help them. This is when I knew veterinary medicine was for me.

I started out my journey in a small general practice clinic in 2017 where I learned all the basic skills of a Veterinary Assistant. I then moved on to a larger general practice where I became Fear Free Certified and continued to expand my skills.

I am currently lucky enough to be a part of Fern Hill Vet Care, an amazing clinic that has allowed me to be surrounded by a wonderful and skilled crew that enjoys caring for animals and their human companions as much as I do.

Some of my favorite parts of being a Vet Assistant are performing dental procedures, new puppy/kitten exams and helping senior pets. I really enjoy helping to care for a pet from puppy or kittenhood into their senior years.

Outside of work you can catch me enjoying music and nature. I love spending time outdoors with my two silly dogs Cassi and Crixus.

I look forward to meeting you and all your amazing little critters!
