Jenny, CVT

I have had a passion for animals all my life, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I spent my childhood fascinated with all the animals at the zoo and those I found on camping trips with my family. I graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S in Zoology and spent the next several years as a zookeeper. My favorite animals were the chimpanzees, red pandas, and alpacas. I moved to Oregon in 2017 and have worked in the veterinary field since then. I became a certified veterinary technician in 2022. Prior to working at Fern Hill, I worked at ER hospitals, and I enjoy utilizing those skills when challenging cases come in. Since moving to general practice, I have loved watching my patients grow and building a bond with them. I want to make sure each of my patients has the best experience possible, and like figuring out what works best for them.

When I am not working, I like to spend time outdoors, either hiking with my dogs or working in my garden. It’s fun to eat “farm” to table or to just enjoy all the life growing around me. I also enjoy crafting, cross-stitching, and puzzles. My companions for all things are my two labs, Kira and Shadow, and my husband, Sean.
